Rush Hour

It is not daytime anymore, and stars
these days have ceased to complicate the sky.
Our lesser lights are earthly. Rivers of cars
now mark the times, and we are measured by
how well we wrap ourselves around the flow
of the bright bedazzling rhythms here below.
